does anybody have a picture of an open diagnostic port with GDN and TEN marked as my idle is sitting rather high on start up 1600-1800rpm have searched through a few guides but none are opening or do not exsist any more

Mate, i reckon its just a case of adjusting the dizzy till it sits properly..

If you open the port, you might have a diagram on the inside of the lid. If not, this should be right

Made no difference resetting mine.

It is normal to rev up high on start up on a cold weather, sometimes even higher if its really cold. It is so that the engine can reach its normal operating temperature quicker.
Where does it sit when the engine has warmed up? I wouldn't worry if it's between 750 - 800 rpm.

Then again it won't do any harm if you reset the idle, just make sure you do it only when the engine has reached it's normal operating temp.
