My clutch has been squeaking for a few months now, or rather I noticed it a few months ago. It's quite annoying. I can hear it squeak and sometimes like crackle or make a snap sound when I press it down fully. Any idea what this might be and how to get rid of this annoying sound?

Get down beneath the dash.Get a light and look to the clutch bracket.They crack with time (same problems as M6)
If not that, look in the engine bay to grease the ball on the slave cylinder wich pushes the arm for the clutch.It could sqeek fom there too.

Yep, clutch pedal bracket under dash, the captive nut shears off & tears the bracket, it happens to most BAs eventually. It squeaks, then you hear tearing or cracking noises, that's the broken bracket.

The approved solution is to insert a large washer either side of the broken hole in the bracket where the nut was, and put a bolt through the strengthened hole to secure the washers.

You'll need to get upside down under the dash, & look straight up with a torch! It's easier if you remove the panel below the steering wheel.
