I have a question sleeper :)

When you've figured out how to attach the new wide arches to the car.....are you going to fill the joints and make it all smooth with a respray so that its all the same colour?

most likely i wont mold em to the car, since bumper removal would be impossible.
however, when the budget is bigger (probably next year) the whole car will get a respray to color match everything...this year i might have to just settle for plastidip to make it look ok since the respray is atleast 3000£ :)

I'm not sure what the prices are like over there dude but what about a full wrap? I've seen places over here that will wrap a full car in 1 colour for around £700-£800.

We figured it would land on around 235-240 but never got to dyno it because of the compression issues.
So 270 will be a very achievable goal with the work some of the guys over here does :)

Really looking forward to seeing the arches fitted chap, I know they're a bit marmite, but I kinda like 'em, not like you have much choice running those rims anyway :)

Well that whole project has been dropped after alot of measuring,it would be to much hacking to make it work.
So its gonna be full A-spec on the outside with hopefully some mazdaspeed wheels :)

Heads delivered today for some serious mods.
Full Race spec portwork,Race spec valves,Race spec valve guides.
Polishing cam journals etc the full works...will be a slow progress as this is anything but cheap, but the guy was extremely optimistic about porting it as the ZE heads shows alot of potential with some good work :)

Ps: oversized valves !

Sleeper I have a question!

Have you ever totaled up the amount of money you've spent on this car? I did for mine the other day and while it was actually less than I thought I wondered how much other people had spent....

But i try convincing myself its money well spent lol

All in all over all the years I had mine (resprays, service parts, parts bought to try etc etc) I had just less than 10k on mine.

I know when I've spoken with stuz in the past he has over 10k on his as well

Yeah things are a little worse price whise over here, respray is 3500-4000£ alone.
My latest additions ran me a whopping 5500£
Not to mention all i had into from before...and im not even on machine work for the engine and gearbox yet :D

I will tally it all up in the end, just to see how much whiskey i need to consume afterwards to make it all look ok

Its a pretty expensive hobby indeed. I've gone nowhere near the work you did but including all extra costs for renting equipment I've spend about 7k on mine. That's only simple things such as exhaust and coilovers and mostly maintenance although I've had my fair share of that.

Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us next!

Probably the "next" thing in line after then engine is built will be a custom suspension setup by òhlins...but that wont be this year as a set is 4500-4800£.
My BC's will have to do another year or so before that becomes a reality...or until i get sponsored (which seems unlikely)
