Needing several cans of 3L. Where's the most reliable place in UK to get these made up?

Thanks!

as you know there are many online places, but its a tricky one to get right, and to get a spot on match wont be cheap, i had many panels to get done on an old car so i got a few cans made up.
but i didnt take into account many years of sunlight and natural weathering.
A professional finish will take a colour reading from several spots around the car and create a custom paint code loosly based on your cars colour.
Not too helpful i know, but food for thought if you are tackling a large area which is in plain sight

I believe 'Paints for U' are popular. My car is the same colour as yours Smurf and I scraped the front bumper. The first tin a got was rather dull and too dark. I bought another can when I bashed the cill and flute. This can was spot on! I just use cheap primer and clear lacquer from my local accessory shop.

Auto Paint St Helens are by far the best for Mazda colours.

Thanks chaps, I'll check out both :D

But I'll also see if there's someone who mixes locally, as I take your point about weathering, Smurf!

I can vouch for Paints4U, matched my 3L Silver Stone Metallic pretty spot on, and the paint went on really nicely as did the primer and top coat. Used the paint on my wing mirror covers though yet to see how it blends with original paint, which I need to do sometime on my front passenger door, though I'm more worried about my skill than the colour match! Got the Full basecoat repair kit plus an extra can of silver and they delivered pretty quickly too.

I second this. I've had both, paints4u was spot on first time, then I reordered and it didnt quite match. Discovered Autopaint st helens who were few quid cheaper and theirs have been spot on a number of times..

That's quite a few options. Might get a small tin from each & see which one works best for my particular paintwork :D

A lot of places (such as paints4u) will use the middle of the variants for any given colour unless you instruct them otherwise. A paintshop/bodyshop will be able to go to your car with the swatches, and tell you which variant of the colour you need - then you can buy online, or find a local place that can actually read and match your colour, and stick it in a tin for you :)

I used to sell paint, and purchased over 500 cans of it from Auto Paint St Helens over the years, all aside from 1 was spot on.
