Now, i tried to get some stuff done over the weekend:

After drifing around with a farting exhaust since the engine swap, i got hold of an OEM pre silencer. Not exactly cheap but worth it, considering quality and fitment of aftermarket units.
It's really well made (what else would one expect) and finally the exhaust tips are a bit more recessed AND no farting :D

Furthermore i wanted to refill the aircon - since it was pressureless for about a year i thought it might be a good idea to get a new drier cartridge. OEM was quoted at 360€ (seriously), aftermarket was 15€ - aftermarket it is. Needless to say, it didnt fit. Luckily i sourced an OEM one off ebay für 20€, just have to wait for delivery.

Also tried out 10mm spacers at the rear for le stance (now ET27 - perfect in my eyes)

Since the front bumper was off, i also took the opportunity to fit the sensor for the washer tank:

Works like a charm :)

There's a lot more to do, but baby steps are in order since i dont have too much time to spare and the other cars demand attention as well...

Thanks guys.
@sneakz:
I could but a guide really wouldnt include much more than i've already shown you :)
You need:
- water tank sensor off a 323 BG or 626 GE
- some wire
- cable shoes

Take off the front bumper / or the inner wheel arch.
Disconnect and unscrew the tank (2 bolts).
Put a hole (i think 30mm) at the prepared location as seen in the pictures.
Fit sensor.
Discard of the connector, extend the wire and attach cable shoes.
Put tank back in place, connect the wires to the connector within the wheel arch (more or less right above the wheel) - there is 4 pins in the connector, i'll upload a pic later showing which ones to use.
Test and put everything back in place.
I'd rate it an easy <2h job if you dont rush. And so useful :)

Last week, i got a replacement for my "corroded" passenger side door switch panel:

I also fitted the new OEM air con dryer and had the system flushed and refilled.

On friday i put it to the test on a 400km Autobahn trip on a hot summer day - happy to report that i have air con again :)

Revisited my home town and took some snaps:

Lastly, i'd like to leave a riddle.
Who can tell me what this does?

its from the washer bottle, designed to stop it from freezing and cracking the plastic bottle, (if you dont mix any screen cleaner with the water)

How would this prevent water from freezing?

sorry I mean in the event that water were to freeze, then the compression of the sponge would allow the expansion of the water thus reducing the strain on the plastic bottle, and so preventing the bottle from freezing. At lease that the best explanation I can think of for these things? which has never made much sense to me as the alcohol in the screen cleaner lowers the freezing point of the water anyway. on the other hand I'm English and thing -2degC is a very cold day. in Germany a cold night is alot colder than in the UK.

Or perhaps I'm completely wrong?

I know I have one aswell, but I have indeed no clue what it does. I don't think it is for freezing because the ice will expand upwards.

Looked at the pictures again and I must say I like the other ones better :(

its to be able to tell if you have enough/any liquid in the bottle, with it being sponge it will rise when the bottle is full, and then drop as water level goes down.
so a quick way to tell if there is enough in the washer bottle, open the lid, see the sponge, enough water...lift the lid, see no sponge, add water :D

or so i have always been led to believe

Recently i exchanged my 6-channel Emphaser EA450-250 with a more powerful 4-channel EA4150XT and removed the rear speakers.

Due to the better sound from the remaining speakers i really dont miss the rearfill :)

Since the dimensions of the OZ wheels - 7x17 ET37 - just didnt fill the arches, i added some spacers:

Which is when i discovered a leaking rear brake cylinder - again! I already exchanged that same cylinder 10 years ago!

Anyways, the car now stands like this:

So you still need that pic? There's basically only one connector up there :)

Few weeks ago i got the opportunity to stick some MX5 Sportive wheels on the car.

Actually liked them but they were completely rotten so they had to go again...

The car now sits on 15" winter wheels but they will go onto the MX3 next week.

And a little preview for 2015:

Are you going to advance the timing about 5 degrees on the suction camshaft?
How much power can you gain?

Planning on swapping the intake cam for either BP06 or BP22 and advancing the timing depending on driving feel / dyno results. I also got a wideband O2 sensor to optimize fuel delivery - might swap to leaner injectors or run ethanol since the BP runs really rich with the OEM setup.
I'm not really shooting for high HP numbers, it's more of a fun project on the cheap really. I also have a N/A MX5 with ~ 175 hp and i really dont want that in my daily ^^
But if i'm a bit optimistic, 130-140hp would be nice.
