started stripping her about 2 weekends back to get the full strip down done .
all that could come off has or will be removed at some point so get her changed colour from silver to bark orange with twin pearl , gold flick .

car was going to go blue but changed my mind thought weeks befor it was time to get started.

2 new hvlp guns with 2.0 /1.4
4l colour
3l clear coat
3l priemer
15l thinners
2l harder

loads of 240 320 1000 da disc

thought id put some photo up as it was now and update when I can of how it coming along
































that's what done up to now ,need to get inside tailgate done and fitted back on car then wet sand the hole outside of car and other odds and end painted , then engine out and head done as smoke on startup , after all done looking to put 4-2-1 manifold with sport cat ect

il update when can as trying to fit this in aswell as working split shifts at work

hope to get the shell painted by weekend

tailgate inside painted now and 1/4 car had it wet and dry with 1500 (good it hard work by hand )

Aye! them pictures reminded me of the time when I used to spray cars, way way back in the 60s.

I got to work on some right good cars as well, E-Type Jags, Rolls, Bentley, Maserati and others, happy days.

what people think of putting the twin exhaust on (say 3.5inch roll tip )can get rid of the standard middle box and put a upgrade in there and run the two 2.5inch pipe's from the centre box to out the back to each side with two nice welded on tips then heat wrap the hole unit. then later put 4-2-1 manifold with sport cat

any idea at all can help

thinking about putting glow In dark orange or green for brakes with the 18inch mps alloys in two tone black gold paint on them, orange wheel nuts ect

Brilliant, not enough folk do these garden resprays nowadays, I used to love doing shit like this!
I sprayed my first Mazda 323, and I sprayed my Cavalier 3 times over the 7.5 years I had it.
Had a lot more energy and free time back then.
Wel ldone buddy, I'll be watching this one in anticipation.

little update from yesterday

cut out the other side for the twin exhaust ,had lots of plastic welding to do to make the tow bit of plastic become solid like the other side and get the shape perfect to look like the other side, then engraved a thin line into the bottom to make them sand out a little (black line in photo)

need to get it primer today

Cracking job there mate. Twin zorst bj will look awesome. How much would you charge to paint my car.

Got to say, I am massively impressed. Anyone that takes on a full respray, especially in the garden gets a thumbs up from me.

no update to day as had lots of running around to do getting more paint ect,

how long does it take to get item's from the fordprobestore as got the stem seal and other to come

only thing done to day was the get the twin part in primer

not had time to do much as had exra work on car all wet and dryed apart from the bumper that get done tomorrow along with all the masking up ready for the big paint on sunday will get some more photo up tomorrow .changed insurance to allow all the mods ect and sent log book off

Looks like a good choice of colour too, and the ghetto ventilation.......
Only thing I would have done differently is I would've taken the opportunity to fill the badge holes on the tailgate, even if you later wanted to stick the badges back on. But hey ho, a great job nonetheless and I can't wait for the updates and finished car!

thought id add photo getting back together , picking up all head set tomorrow so get it done and then colour sand the car up to a high gloss.
two new exhaust will come next week and set of hid .
