So it in the flesh today and it looks GOOD mate - way better. Car was looking very sexy.. and the cuppa was appreciated!

Orange peel to remove now then start with the bonnet repair.

I know the rust has been removed but it feels like my cars gone three steps back the state it in

New number plates fitted. Its amazing how something so simple can freshen up a car.

Rear mud guards sprayed as well.

I gave the old girl a wash this evening. She was covered in bloddy cobwebs and poxy spiders :evil:

After I started to polish the resprayed panels as they were looking very dry.

Not a great picture but the fleck in the paint can be seen

The rear panel that had rust

The whole car needs compounding prior to JAE but that will start nearer the time

Today the car has been wet sanded and part machined. Rain has stopped work. A yellow pad and Ultimate Compound has done a good job of removing 2000 grit sanding marks

Its nothing spectacular but at least the chips are less obvious now. Still got to lacquer them but that should be done tomorrow and then sanded next weekend to give it enough time to dry.

As ive said before there is still a lot of room from improvement though. There are still areas that need work and hopefully thorough the next year this will happen.
