Still at the tuners :(
My own stupid fault. I knew I should have fitted a uprated clutch kit but didnt and tried to save some cash but fitting a new Faactory kit :( :banghead:
Clutch is slipping on the dyno as it cant handle the tongue . Most of yesterday spent resurching parts and finding a u.k supplier for an uprated clutch kit.
Exedy uk where next to useless I even gave them the Us Part number to see if their tech deprtment could source parts out of a kit over here.. luckily I have found a U.k clutch specialist in Leeds http://www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/. They list a performance kit for the Bj BUT is rated at stage 3, I dont want it to hard to drive everyday so really looking for stage 1 or 2. Waiting on a call back to see what others they can get as there are other options . :thumbright: Otherwise I'll have to order from the U.S and wait 2weeks for it :(
Black Diamond have a new range & now do a Kevlar Stage 2 kit for the 2litre......Best thing is to ring them directly, they will make to order & have it at your doorstep in a few days! Hope this helps mate :thumbleft:

Looked at black diamond Stage one is £300 . ended up buying a kit off the clutch specialist in Leeds Same price delivered for I think is a 6 paddle ( what ever that means) the sales woman said she'll do a bit of research to see if theres a 5 paddle available. Im not bothered as long as I can drive it :thumbright:

I did specify that I did want it drivable around town as I dont track the car. Sales told me she drives with this clutch and is fine. Reading around the net some say 6 paddle is quite usable around town but some others say not... It must depend on the make of kit? :dontknow:

ummmmmmm I might be wrong but why cant you get rid of the MAF with the stand alone ECU as it is going to be very restrictive

and tell it did.... completly wrong pressure plate :cussing: infact it looks like its a cheap china plate which the clutch company have cut groves into ! SO the car has to be built back up useing the std clutch and na new clutch order and car stripped again! Monday is gonna be spent trying to get not only a refund for the clutch but a refund for fitting the wrong one... Not happy at all :( :( :(

Rang twice now, spoke to a guy who swears blind its right. and says he'll ring me back. as he needs to find out why its wrong and listed as the right part on the system.

I will be reminding the of the distance selling rules and the consumer statutory right of 'not fit for purpose' if I have to ring again ;)
