Just celebrated 8 great years with my ZXi, bought back in Sept 2000 when I was 25.

I've only started modding her fairly recently, got the bug from dipping into this site, and now shes getting to the age where the original bits are wearing out.

The first pic is standard from 2003, with my new number plate, a wedding gift from my wonderful wife Liz.

Image

Compared with a recent pic after the car was lowered and after repainting my orig alloys. Not to mention cleaned and polished with Megs products, as recommended on this site.

Image

My first main mod was a custom made double exit stainless steel exhaust fitted in april 2007, improved the look, and sound of the V6.

Image

Couple of pics of my newly painted alloys. Very pleased with the colour.

Finally for now, been playing under the bonnet polishing the cam-cover:

Still brings a smile to my face whether I'm driving or looking at her parked up.

Howie

I thought you might mention the side repeaters Nick, after your regular comments to me about how much better they would look than the standard ones. Must admit that they were simple to replace and do look great, thanks for your badgering mate. :blackeye:

I had meant to put this pic in before, to show my painted calipers detail and of course the new side repeaters.

And of course the car only comes out for photos when its sunny. :glasses7:

How did you add that ZXi decal? is it a sticker? or you painted it on?

I hand painted the ZXi decal on with a silver engine laquer, made a masking template on the computer. :thumbright:

Pics of my F's christmas present from my parents, an indoor car cover.

Should keep the dust from my farm from settling on the polished paintwork,
also coated to prevent condensation from the garage roof from watering her as well.

Firstly waitng to open her present:

Image

Then after trying it on for size:

Image

Fits very well, keeps her clean but does restrict visibility on the open road :laughing6:

As the first pic also shows, the number of stone chip on my bonnet is growing,
may have to look at getting the bonnet re-sprayed next year, probably the front bumper as well. :dontknow:

Just a quick update.

Finished lining my garage roof with membrane and ply, keeps off the condensation drips, then mounted 4 strip lights for better cleaning and polishing. :thumbright:

Shes been cleaned, polished and glimpsed the snow:

Then tried some reflection pics:

Sorry for the subject in this pic, but really pleased with the reflection in the wing. (Also made sure to have Megs products in shot!)

Finally back to bed until better driving conditions: :sleepy1:
