It is an original colour - garnet red mica to be precise, although I have painted some of it... splitter, grille, interior...one day I'll do the bonnet, soooo many stone chips :sad:

Yeah, I think tinted windows would look the absolute nuts too, but the wife doesn't agree...yet :evil4:

Fitted an ali oil catch can

need to replace the supplied hose, didn't want any kinks or tight bends, so I used all of my original one for one side of it, and I really want both pieces to be black. sure I'll find a piece of hose eventually...

fills the gap nicely. next is a decent bracket, the ali one is temporary (hopefully)...oh, and of course some black hose :wink:

Finally finished fitting the WeaponR engine damper. The brackets don't fit the UK model at all - the strut brace and air con plumbing is all different.
So I shortened the engine bracket, and reshaped it to fit the mount, and made new brackets for the strut end. I've had to use some studding, but now I have the length right, I might make an extended bracket...

Seems to tighten everything up nicely :thumbleft:

and looks cool, in my opinion...

mate have you cut and reshaped the brackets on your strut brace? does doing that effect the performance of the brace at all?

i've left the original stuff as is, but the damper came with a bracket that wouldn't fit, so i've added an arm under the strut brace, and one on top of it. Seems strong enough so far...
The bracket for the engine end wouldn't fit the mount, and was too tall :roll:

Nice! How's the fit on the clusters? I had a pair on a few years ago but took them off immediately and returned them as the fit on the passenger-side lamp was very poor.

Colors fit better than the old one. Those lights look good on a dark colored car like yours.
But to my knowledge they tend to let water inside the housings because of the poor glue
that holds the lense.

doug, the fit on the left one was terrible, i had to modify the posts and inserts a bit, i think its close enough now :thumbright:

Will, i've sealed the outer edge with silicone, just in case :wink:

i actually did that so dirt didn't get into the gap where i couldn't clean it :shock:

All lights present and correct :thumbright:

I've got an led fog light unit in the offside lower, same as before. It isn't that bright from an angle, but straight on it's ok, went through the mot with it in the euro clear lens i had on before.
I use that and the chrome indicator bulbs to maintain the clear look :wink:

Fitted a cold air feed for the Injen. excuse the photos, my mate was out with the jetwash, and everything in a 5 mile radius got wet :lol:

It's a shiny bell mouth thing, bolted to the bumper, with some flexi hose leading under the wheel arch liner, not directly pointing to the filter, so shouldn't chuch too much water at it. Too early to tell if it makes any difference performance wise, I think it will help at faster speeds... :dontknow:
