Hey, im looking to upgrade my 323F BA to have the Ford Porbe 2.5 V6 enigine. Has anyone done this before? If so how much work is needed to carry this out? Anyone know of any estimates on final prices on engine conversions ?

its not forced induction by the way lol although you can buy a turbo kit for it!

By looking at your car in your garage you have a 1.8 or 1.5 (4stud wheels).

Putting a V6 engine in is a lot of hassle unless you already have a 2.0 V6...

I'm afraid you're off to a loser straight away. To do this 'easily' you need the V6 BA to start with - I see you have a four-pot'd engine.

The MX-6 is not the more powerful V6 - not in the UK anyway. The 2.5V6 engines (MX6/626/Probe) in the UK are the KLDE, the one you want is the KLZE that was only available in Japan, but there's more than one variant of it and they are of differing power outputs - some 180bhp-ish, some 200bhp).

If you're styaing NA, go with the JDM KLZE. If you're going for a blower, the KLDE may be a better option - unless you have looooaaaads of cash

what about a v6 ba donor? is it all straight forward remove and replace then? like running gear etc?

If I were putting in a 2.5 litre engine I would want better brakes all round!
