Only question I have is regarding the breather Filter. Unsure of how that bit fits together.

Notice none of these pics are from a V6, anyone got a pic of it fitted to a V6, any problems doing so?

Ive turned the jubilee clips the other way though and clipped off the excess stuff.

I think the 1.8s should have larger diameter, iorederd all this managed to make it fit (ol0 but the end couplers are a bit stretched :-s

What is the diameter for the 1.8 anyway? I might just need to get some wider pipes to suck in more air lol cause my engine seems to want a lot of it lol

my version of the intake is drinking my fuel!! normally with the normal air box and cold air feed i can go to watford and back on £15 with some left over, driving at 60mph both ways. With my new intake and k&n it took £15 to get there an another £10 to get back!! the little sensor for the air temp i think it is, is in the actuall cone (at the back of it) if i put it further up into the pipe somewhere wil these help it?cheers

I Just bent the excess back and forth until it snapped.

To get the tiny bit to lye flat just use something hard but padded tht wont mark it and hit it with a hammer to flatten it. (hard to explain haha)

What breather filters are you using? on the rocker

What size diameter on the breather do you need to use?

Rocker Cover = 9mm
Ekotec Valve = 18mm

Just done this on my 1.8 - you need a 63-72mm reducer to fit the back of the intake sensor package. No temperature sensor to worry about.

Saf (Mase/shadez147)'s 1.8 is still stock, not sure if he'd want to take it down the strip though

no hes removed the resonator i wanted to see one with absolutely nothing at first, along with no bodykit bits or anything which is what scotts was

I must say, I have a body kit on the car, I have a removed resonator and I also have a tightened throttle cable.

Can anyone who has followed this guide or even Mr Stephens himself advise me here...

I'm wondering if it would be possible to build a slightly extended 'Stephens Intake' so that the filter sits deeper into the engine bay than this guide suggests, closer to the wing? If so, what additional parts would be needed and how should the guide be adapted?

I'm just wondering if it would be possible to replicate the Cosmo Racing intake kit using this method - would work out slightly cheaper I guess
