What new warning lights are you referring to there chap? - I can see on Meanie's dashboard, there's a couple I've not seen before but can't quite make out what they are...

Yep, top work there fella, must admit though, I was amazed how fast you fitted them, from them arriving to being fitted must of broke your current record of 1 year 3 months and 15 days.........:evil4:

Cant help thinking though that both your fog light switches are upside down

Thanks gents :D:D:D most appreciated :D:D:D

Stu, you know, thats been staring me in the face for days, and I've not realised, thanks mate, thought I was goin nuts :P

Parvez. dude, if I'd been counting that one, I'd have smashed your record chap ;) thats only £40 quids worth, and I finally refilled at 390 odd, with at least 20 to go :D:D:D Had to go to a birthday party :P

The 'HEAT' symbol, is, I think for a catalytic convertor warning, only the Type R's have it, on UK models, the HAZARD flasher is there :D:D

Ok, so, its time for a wee update i guess ;)

I've noticed a fair bit of seat modding going on recently, put me in mind of something I've been after ever since I got back from my tour round Europe in 2003 :D

So I was having a wee search on good old ebay, and low and behold, what should be up on there???? Only the seat I've been after for 4 years :P

Now, these things are SERIOUSLY expensive, and I've only ever seen a couple on ebay over the years, usually very highly priced even second hand :(

But, in true Meanie tradition, I managed to land me a TOTAL bargain

I was gonna unveil this at Trax, but, as I was unable to make it, I've decided to stick it on here instead :D

Say hello to my Recaro Ergomed DS :wav:

Image

As you can see, its not a match for the OE seats, but it does tie in with the black around the cockpit area, but by GOD is it comfortable :D:D

That little switch panel you can see, does several things ;)

It adjusts the Airmatic twin lumbar support, it adjusts the height, tilt and backrest and activates the cooling fans in the seat pad and the backrest ;)

Its supposed to be heated too, that doesn't work, but like who cares with a cloth seat anyway, plus they always make me feel like I've wet meself :P

Its not all electric though, it has manually adjustable side bolsters and thigh support, at least I'll get SOME exersice :P

Fitting it was fairly easy, and at this point, I have to say a BIG BIG thank you to Stu for all his help and putting up with me pestering him for info and how he'd mounted his, Matts and Stevo's seats, thank you sir, you are a gent :thumbright:

I've got it mounted pretty close to as low as a standard F seat, with a bit of 2mm steel plate for strength on the inboard runner, and some 25mm box steel with two sets of 2mm alloy risers front and rear on the outboard side. I also used OE F runners, but from a post ford, as they are 15mm longer, have less bracketry and have a simpler adjuster mechanism. :D

All in all, I'm bloody chuffed, and I can categorically say, all good things come to those who wait :D:D
