Good afternoon to you all. I have a creaky noise coming from the clutch when depressed and released. The clutch is not slipping at all, but it feels like excessive force is needed to depress the pedal, considering it is a hydraulic clutch. I have lubricated all the pivot points as indicated in my Australian workshop manual on the clutch pedal and on the pivot on the slave cylinder under the bonnet. Made no noticeable difference. Was going to bleed the system, but don't think it will make any difference.
I have a feeling it is the clutch fork inside the bell housing and or the release bearing.
What do you think? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, found out what was causing the creaking when depressing and releasing the clutch pedal. It is the clutch master cylinder, lot of corrosion on it, but not leaking though. It is £9.16 from Euro Car Parts.
It does not look to difficult to do, but has anybody on the forum have any experience of replacing one? Just out of curiosity

Many thanks for your reply, the only thing is the diagram you posted shows the layout of a left hand drive car, exactly the same as the manual I have myself.
What I need is a diagram or photo's for my right hand drive car. The left hand drive one looks very easy to do. I am guessing my clutch master cylinder is going to be under the combined clutch/brake fluid reservoir, and by looking under my bonnet, it looks like it is only accessible from underneath. That's a bummer though.

Yes you're right … the only other manual I have is the Haynes for a BG, and that does indeed say "from under the dash, remove the nuts holding the master cylinder to the bulkhead".
I guess the same applies for the BJ.
