Small update.
My standard turbo was on its last legs ( that's what happens when you go catless )they are a known weakness on modified MPS's.
So today this happened

New on left, old on right.
Needs to be tuned in but I'm guessing I might notice a difference.

did we ever get a map with the new turbo on stu?

It's in process. My tuner does it in stages, upping boost with each new revision after I send him data logs.
My estimate is that I'm running around 320 bhp just now with the goal to be a safe 350 to 360 bhp at completion.

Well Christmas has came early for me.
I entered a raffle to win a fully forged engine worth approx £3000 I've only gone and won it.
Engine isn't built yet but will go in early next year. this means I can up my power goals safely now.

So bit of an update.
Engine is fitted , had few wee niggles with some parts needing replaced and some bits coming from America so was off road longer than expected.
All good now and running in miles are complete, time to turn up the power.

Around the 380bhp mark.
That's about the limit of my turbo even though the engine would handle 500+. For those numbers I'd need bigger turbo and Methanol injection.
I'll be happy with what I've got, bit more reliable.

So finally got to end of tuning process.
More power could be achieved with a few add ons but happy with 318 WHP( approx 360 BHP at crank) and 340lb/ft torque.
Super smooth power curve that my tuner is well known for.

What's next for the mps then Stu?

Pretty happy with the way it is just now , will probably need to address the crusty underside again. Don't think Scottish winters agree with it.

Had roof and grill wrapped gloss black and painted mirrors to match.




Scottish winters had taken their toll So booked it in to get undersealed.




Descaled and Dinitrol rust treatment applied.



Finally primed and Dinitrol black wax applied.



All cavities were waxed too.
Should keep the rust monkeys at bay for a bit longer ...... hopefully.
