Hey,

Now i have 8j - 9j BBS Summer wheels on my mazda. Its nice, but the cop's dont really like it @rear.
So i'm looking for a 8,5j set and i found 2 types, ET 35 & ET20 of those. These rims will come flush with the arch like this:
http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-a ... 9064_n.jpg
But doess any1 know the 8,5J ET 20 fit plug & play @front? Or are they gonna hit the arch? Rear will work, im sure of that (gonna roll the arches aswell) but @ front will the tyre scrape?
Anybody an idea?
The BA on the pic has 8,5j ET 20 & 25. If i take ET 35 i'd be safe but i need longer studs than for spacers to get to that Offset..
So will ET 20 8,5j be ok @front?
Other solution is, i buy the ET35 & put 5mm spacers (fit on original studs) so its ET30 wich will be better...
Dillema, help please ;p
Grtz

Hy There,
i didn't want to open a new topic since my question is also about ET.
I have 1.5 323F BA from '98.

I'm going to replace the the original wheels (185/65R14) with "new" alloys and tiers.
New dimensions are: 205/45R16 (wheel is 7jx16 OZ Hydra) with ET37.

As i have read the ET must be between 35 and 42 (somewhere they say 35 - 45 and i found that the original steel wheel has ET45 but it's not a 100% info). Should i put a 5mm spacer onto the car to get an ET42?

I want the suspension to have to most possible negative force because of the new wheels.

Additionaly the original wheels weight 15kg, the new one is 19kg.

Thank you for the replies. ;)

If you use a 5mm spacer you will change your offset to 32ET
those wheels will fit fine without any spacers etc :D

use this calculator to try out different rim sizes:

Thanks, for the heads up. I was a bit confused here with the calculation methods, but now it's clear. I will use them without spacers.
