One of my all time favourite cars in for a detail this week, I am so lucky, I get all the good bits, without the downside of running costs

As it came in, pretty grubby, and generally swirly and scratched on the sides from the owner's driveway...

outside for a snow foam and chemical bath

engine bay had a quick clean, nothing fancy, as the owner wanted us to concentrate on the paintwork...

and then onto the paintwork, I took too many pictures, and I won't post them all here, but here's a "few" just to show it off

I have to say, it does still need a fair bit of work, 2 more coats of wax and a coat of sealant, and the arches and wheels still need doing...but, it is, I feel, some of my best work yet, and on one of my all time favourite cars...so I am really chuffed with the work so far. Oh...and the noise when you hit the loud pedal...oh my, words cannot describe!!!

Thanks Neal - the customer collected it on Saturday - second one in a row to give me a tip (no, not "don't give up the day job")

it had 4 coats of sealant in all, should keep it protected :)

Lovely looking beast. I had a go driving one of these at Le Mans, it's a proper man's car! Those rear lights look a lot better than those upside down cavalier lights on the earlier one

 yep, the later cars looked a bit more...er...TVRish

to be fair though, while working on it, I did notice the lines in the bodywork where the original lights were, so I'm guessing they never changed the tool that well, just patched it up!
