Hello all, This post is going to be a long one as I've had this a while but it'll be more pictures than words so should be quick...
So. Back to early last year my Clio was on the verge of blowing up so i was looking for a replacement. I was approached by my college tutor at the time who had a 1986 323 saloon that had been sat in a garage for 12 years, at the time i was very dubious but after a viewing i could see the sheer amount of potential in front of me. £500 later and i had the keys to a car with no tax or mot.

I had also managed to blag some wheels with the car.

After spending £45 for a scot-free mot and getting tax i left it for a few months.

During this time i was slowly refurbishing the slotmags which i'd managed to get on just before retro show 2012 as well as a golf mk1 duckbill splitter.

Then a quick clean before the show.

After that show i thought additional lows are a must so a set of mk2 golf coilovers up front and cutting some 40mm lowering springs in half at the rear did the job, (excuse the immature friends in the car) also didn't have the splitter on for some reason?

I then added some japanese plates to the vehicle and added that pesky roof rack on again..

It was then time for retro rides gathering 2012.

After that, i changed the look a bit.

As well as the addition of a new steering wheel.

and then it was time to move house, which is surprisingly difficult in a lowered mazda..

Now onto February this year, met up with some other local retro fans.

Now after this not a lot happened as i ended up driving to Monte Carlo and back for charity in may so was more focused on ensuring it was mechanically sound. Come show season i added an oil cooler just to change it up a bit.

After nearly 2 years the itch to go all out hit me in the face like a ton of bricks i was disappointed with the progress on my car, as my previous car was completely changed by myself i couldn't see much difference in the old 323.
Now going back to last month a fortunate find on E bay popped up and after losing them, the seller contacted me asking if I still wanted them, so 4 days later I arrived home to find a nice present awaiting me in the garage.

A set of 14 inch 9J Shelby slot mags with monster tyres.

After getting the monster tyres removed, i gave the front end a re-shuffle and test fitted the new rimmage.

After testing them i gave them a re-furb and about 2 weeks back got some tyres fitted so i could see how much arch-work needed to take place.

So that's where i currently am with it, It's going into the fabrication shop on monday to have the arches sorted. and i'm also saving for a few other little parts so watch this space

If you go back to std springs you can get up to 17s on them. and the gtr dash will swap in but will need wire up to have all the gages working.

Thank you all for the responses. I was at retro rides gathering im keeping the current slotmags in the garage just in case lol. Its going away to the local metal fabricators on monday to have the arches brought out. Cannot wait!
