No, that's a carbon canister. I think it's full of Mazda magic :? It is a carbon canister though.

He uses a stencil :evil4:

The canister is part of the fuel system. It's connected to a catch tank somewhere and a pressure control valve for the fuel tank ... according to my Haynes manual (ch4.9, ISBN 1 85960 455 2).

Hmmmm, just ad a look at the EPC and the Mitchell Repair, the later says nuthin, and the EPC, says 'hose 1' and 'hose 2', so not really helpful i'm afraid :(

Just a thought tho, would it matter which way the water flows?????? doesn't it just pass thought/over the matrix???? so, unless there's a non-return valve in the loop, it shouldn't matter should it????
