Dont think my fuel filter had ever been changed so I order an FSE Pro number after seeing AndyM's post on a different thread from Demon Tweeks (£15ish). You can see through it and open it up to clean/change the filter element.

I need to change my fuel filter too, are there any guides? I've searched but couldn't find any. Never done it b4 y'see...

the only way I could of got photos for a guide is via a fibre-optic camera.....! and I dont know any budding proctologists to borrow one from.

Its the FSE Pro with 8mm push on. it matches the original but you will need to get a meter of 8mm hose too..... unless you have stretch armstrong type arms and plan on putting it in the same daft place.

Aint noticed any difference yet mate....apart from it took a while to start after I'd fitted it

and I dont know if it is glass..... I tapped it on my teeth (usual test huh) and it sounded like it was. Dont fancy taking it for a trip out of my bedroom window though.....

Aaahhhh Gents Jam, Andy & Mark - all three of you are right. Garage/Kitchen/Surgery. Let me explain-

Although I used an extra meter or 8mm hose I removed (in my garage) the two old pieces of hose = 500mm. 500mm of 8mm hose is roughly 265cubic mm or 256ml or 0.056 gallon (worked out in my surgery). The amount of fuel in the original huge filter minus the amount in the new filter and hose = a weight saving of two apples (done in kitchen) and a fuel saving equal to half a cup of coffee. Pi squared x both apples and the coffee without the mug = an extra 1.2 seconds per lap round Silverstone – Bring on Trax 2006……

Hmm might have to do that next time I give the moto a service, new filter meter of 8mm hose dnt sound to hard. But I havent tryed to get at the filter before.

Mate give it a go, its only hard if you have arms with only one elbow each and are thicker than spaghetti…..!!!

Well were see, and anyways it will be easy after Ive lost my temper and tore the whole engine out lol. So the meter hose replaces the old hoses. am I gna need some new clamps or will the old ones be ok if I havent lost them after ripping them off.

The new metre of hose comes with two new clips as does a FSE Pro filter. these are the usual type of jubilee clips rather than the clamp type fitted as standard. Use either - I used the new ones.......

Cheers now I got till I av time to service it to decide wot colour hose i want.

I did mine yesterday, and it's true you do need arms like stretch armstrong!

I merely used the exsiting pipework, and it's just dangling somewhere down the back of the engine.

Definetely worth doing.
