As some of you know we had a cold air induction pipe sitting just underneath my orginal air box leading to the scoop in the undertray since then we have removed the white box it used to draw air from and saw we could see straight through on my bumper(der-tuner) (in fact i think only andym had seen my induction)
but we wanted a big funnel to collect the air so a little bit of customisation was in order!!!
first we removed the pipe and took off the bellfunnel pointing at the air box we strected the ducting pipe to fit into the wing and we bolted the pipe into the air box we then were on the look out for a funnel and after many trips to halfrauds and fletchers(car moddin shop in birmingham) we desided we would have to go custom like most things lol!!
well we first looked around the garage and at nemours bottles but then we ventured into the kitchen and found an old christmas pudding bowl the plastic bowl u stick in the microwave!!:D:D:D this was pretty much perfect!! so out comes the hole drill i drilled a large hole inthe bottom about 80mm i think inserted the old bell funnel inside the bowl and then clamped the pipe back on to the bell funnelfixed it all in the wing and now it goes like stink!!!

i got it from halfords and it was 60mm i fink
well it was the biggest one they had put it that way and was jus under a fiver!!!

can i put it this way that 60mm is just nice to fit into the stock air box ?

I heard smaller diameter will less air but faster air flow
where as bigger diameter will more air but slow air flow.

In this case, do we need bigger diameter or smaller diameter to have better effect ?

well yes it fits vry nice and snug in the box however theres nothing stoping u cutting the hole out bigger to allow a bigger pipe if u wish!! could be a good compromise!!

Thanks, wonder will there be any problem (wedges to the side) if the using 100mm pipe for the same route (route through resonator place to front bumper).

im not sure as i dnt have a standard bumper theres loads more room in the front! as Mark T. as i kno he has a cold air feed that leads to his front bumper!

You'll have to squash the pipe a bit to get to where mine comes out. Part of the chassis gets in the way a bit. The best way to do it is to cut a hole in the bumper and fit a conical inlet similar to Shaggy's.

Nice job lol!! I solved my air intake like Mark.T did,only i connected the flexible pipe to the lower part of the oe filter box,which then leads the cold air to a cone filter which sits nicely in that box!!! Looks the nuts mate!!
P.S. I used the instructions from the guide section,it was a great help!!!

ive got a k&n box filter i have left the original tubing which is connected to it on the box, then taken out the resevoir in the passenger side wing.
so the pipe ends up somewhere in that little chamber.

i want to cut vent stylin into that part of the bumper to give a more direct feed, wat did u guys use to cut your holes yes a drill to start it off but wat else i dont want it to look shite with my jaggid saw cuttin.

Only tool I used for cutting mine was a drill.

Drilled a circle of holes and then attacked it with the drill again until there was a hole the correct size. Then bolted a steering wheel centre on top of it for that chrome look.
