have just seen the photo of a members car with backlit rear badge detail,can anyone tell me how to achieve this plz

With creativity and ingenuity, Ad did that some years ago now and no-one to my knowledge has had another go since, shame really I always though it was a brilliant mod :thumbright:

First thing you have to do is separate the back and the front of the unit, as I recall, its filled with a sort of silver honeycomb like material, so you'd need to remove that from the area of the lettering, then get the black off, probably build some sort of box to contain the light, then fit a decent light source :)

Light it up with an EL panel, they are paper thin, so easy to fit :D

I might attempt this IF she passes the MOT as I still have a load of spare LEDs lying around. Would also do the MAZDA writing on the other side so it looks symmetrical. :)

I did it too! I've used 4 led strips. 2 on the left, 2 on the right each one with 9 smd's.
