Least it was undercover to some degree or I think she would of been alot worse, was it running, or much to get running?

I find these 'barn finds' fascinating :)

did you update the z's achilles heel? decent brakes. need at the least brembos, was going to buy one n/a, and started looking into them, then deal turned sour. on a side note leginum v6s are the worst car mitsi EVER built to date. the gearboxes are rubbish and the need a new serpintine belt at every service not to mention the belts cost 1000 each (nzd) then you have to install them. everybody else has gone to the newer rubbish the wrx with weak gearboxes and oil pumps

The car is a UK manual with a genuine 46k on it and up to it being taken off the road it has a full Nissan service history, the car was a runner after I oiled the boars and spent some time checking the belts and going through everything.

One that was all checked out every belt and fluid was changed and checked.

The garage where I have done the work used to be a Nissan dealers and it turns out the car was bought from there 20 years ago for £40000!!!

It's 3 owners from new including me!!

Blead nipple for the clutch is behind the drivers headlamp, abs pump is in the boot they moved things around the car to get the cornor weights and handling sorted out, the UK cars are completley different from the Jap cars in many ways!!!

there is nothing wrong with the 6A13 (TT or not) engine. it is by far one of the most strongest engines they did :p

if you get the auto non turbo, then expect problems, from the gearbox! as eventually the splines will get stripped from the torque converter, simply because it is not strong enough, unlike its big brother the VR-4.

As for servicing, the non turbo can go every 10,000 miles between services, (oil, filters and plugs) then every 40,000 for gearbox oil, belts water pump and tensioners.

Where as the VR-4 needs the servicing every 4,000 miles this one also includes the oil change in the rear diff and AYC pump, but the main servicing with belts and gearbox etc... again is every 40,000.

I haven't had any problems with gear box or engine issues, other then the fact my ex tried to destroy my VR-4, but that is another story.
The non turbo V6 Galant i owned was spot on, when i got it, it did have a noisy gear box, but that is down to the input shaft bearing giving up, a well known weakness on the manual V6 gear box, nothing a quick trip to Mitsubishi didn't solve, and a after noon stripping down the box and refurnishing it didn't solve (but i did all the bearings while i was in there, just because i could).

anything else???

sorry back on topic, so, what is the differance between the jap spec and uk spec?

The UK car had wider rear wheels and tyres with a lower profile, the car is fitted with engine, gearbox and diff oil coolers as it is not restricted like the jap, all UK cars came with a better standard stereo including an amp and they were only available in a 2+2 set-up with the T bar roof.

The standard suspension is also different from what I have been told and this is open to argument but the UK cars were over 300BHP where as the jap were all 280, we have put this theory to test as I know someone with a Jap manual car that has some mods and mines faster and has more torque on the road, we really need a rolling road to put that argument to bed though!!!

The other thing as well is only a very small amount of UK cars sold were manual, most were autos and only came with 280 as the auto boxes didn’t like the power.

Mate of mine is selling a Gallant VR4 turbo estate, great car, wolf in sheep’s clothing.
