from what he has told me the bracket is going to be adjustable outwards so there is no need for a tensioner.

yes mate, i beleive there is some tensioning movement on the power steering pump, but i will slot the holes on the bracket making it adjustable if there isnt enough movement on the PS pump.

with the right size belt there should be plenty of adjustment with just the power steering pump

have you mounted yours directly to the block dude or via a plate? i found 2 unused boses on the block and drilled and tapped them to mount a plate to and then the SC, its seems plenty strong enough at the moment but the really test will be when its belted up and turned over.

mine is mounted to a plate that uses 4 OEM bolts to hold the plate, then 4 more bolts to lineup the SC properly for the belt

looks similar to what im doing bud! very nice work there

the SC im using doesnt have a flat side to mount to the plate and the mounted extrusions dont protrude past the sides so im having to use extension peices to mount the SC to the plate. I thought it would increase the instability of it but we will soon find out

I recognise that scrappy? ABC Tividale. Has he still got that green BA or has he got a red one in now being as you have a bonnet on your roof?

The SC fitment looks interesting. Will be interested to know how quick the car will be once up and running. Good luck with the build.

looks like fun.. my bracket that holds the SC was made to bolt up where the AC compressor used to be and eliminates the OEM bracket.

Now that you've removed the AC pump, that fan opposite the SC will never come on, so you can lose it for more room

taken everything back off today to re-design the plate, make it a bit stronger and use a better idea i should of thought of in the first place but hey ho!

need to look into the oiling side of things
