didnt you know it is a safety thing as it helps prevent the engine blowing up apparently.... :roll:

no FMIC folks- but a Corksport uprated TMIC does appeal - espcially since it fits under the standard cover... stealthy!

Rear brace was a faff to fit but after savaging my hand on the ridiculously sharp edges of the seat back all was fine.. usual story... until you draw some blood it wasnt gonna fit.

My intention was red stuff in the engine bay, then I got offered a blue Short Ram Intake so decided might aswell have the blue earthing kit.

Havent had much of a chance to play with the car since, but will be sure to put it through its paces tomorrow to check how the braces respond...

Its in tomorrow at the bodyshop to have as many of the nicks and dings taken out as possible. Rear bumper, passenger mirror and bonnet all being redone along with anything else they an do.

Front parking sensors will be colour matched too and getting fitted on the 5th - ticked off i cant do them myself but have a fixed price so may aswell pass on the headache to someone else - will get them to run in a 4mm vaccum line too incase a boost guage happens into the car at some point.

1st is an oil change and ITV22 (one step colder) plugs. Depending on price may or may not get silicon rad hoses on and rear engine mount fitted too... I've now got an agreed price of £91 quid for a complete oil change including labour so im a happy lad and honestly it aint worth doing it myself for that price. (The 6MPS doesnt have a normal spin off oil filter as standard, its a messy bugger to change).

I also found a post on one of the american forums about how to fit a Mazdaspeed CF handbrake sleeve ... something i've been tempted to do for ages (have already fitted one to Kates MX5 and it looks awesome) Might have to give that bash too.

Been speaking to wheels in motion... will need to make a trip down there for a 'fast road' setup. We have friends that stay along the road so Kates keen for that too!

Kate is has been invited to come drive a new limited edition roadaster sport that the dealership is getting in - lime green with black wheels in roof...

Last Friday - car back from sprayshop and looking lush

Monday - AWR Rear Engine Mount... no more wheel hop or gear lash... me likey

Wed (today) - an oil and filter change and new 'one step colder' ITV22 plugs

Friday - samco rad hoses, Corksport braided clutchline

5th front parking sensors being installed with beeper.

Ordered some lamin-x light smoke film to do rear lights and that CF Mazdaspeed handbrake sleeve i mentioned...

Oh and roadtax... we dont discuss that though...

Updated - off in to get hoses and clutch line done shortly.

Lamin-x at PO ready to collect - will do way home. Local tinting place keen to have a look at this as this is something they want to get into. Plus want them to look at my rear screen tint. 15th is the earliest I can get there sadly.

Spoken to wheels in motion - going to go in to get a 'fast road' setup end of the month when funds recover.
The cars nice and safe feeling and the combo of the engine mount and braces has helped, but feel they can further enhance the drive.

Thinking of the 30th of July. My mate Alan has just bought a mk3 mx5 and already has decided that he wants to lower it and get the geo done at the same time... cant think where he got the idea.

30th work for you? For the geo on the 6 there're talking about 2hrs labour and just under a 100... presume you're thinking of the BJ?

Right booked in now for 9am on the 30th - be nice to see you if that date works for you both?

Hoses and clutch line all good yesterday. Clutch feels like its been bled to bite a bit lower - not a bad thing. Ill keep an eye for the next couple of days - if needs be it can be bled again. Had to use a combination of the original oem clamps for the hoses and mikalors due to the comedy locations of the lower hoses...

New bathroom refit this month so quieter for the cars!

The lamin-x takes the chrome away from the clusters and makes the rear more sublte in my humble. I was semi tempted by facelift clusters, but prefer the look of these now they're light smoked.

Waiting on next states delivery... fingers crossed no customs this time!

After some discussion decided to go for it - the rear spoiler is now mazda mica black to match the front grill - as is the M badge on the grill.
Pics soon... but need to see if Kate notices...

Tempted to tint the 3rd brake light now too...

Boost guage arrived ... waiting for the custom demist pod to fit it now.... one vac line and three cables - power, earth and night illumination. Hurry up pod!

Rear parking sensors on wed next week and tints being redone on thurs - they're fading ... dodgey film.

Where you fitting the boost guage?

Blokey in the states makes a custom pod that replaces the demist vent with his one with an intergral pod for the guage - makes it look stock. The other option was to lose an air vent from the middle dash.. but prefer the demist pod.

So it'll sit to the right of the main binacle next to the A pillar.

So yesterday whilst waiting for the bloke I ran in the cables and vac line for my boost guage, then when bloke turned up he fitted my super cheap (includes fitting) reversing sensor kit from costco. 55mins and I'd struggle to do a tidier job myself!

yesterday saw a delivery of a nice shiney new CF handbrake sleeve - some hacksaw and craft knife action later and looking nice and matching the MS CF nob now.... nishe

Today had tints redone under warranty... theres a job Ill never be able to do myself!
