So, yesterday I popped over to see a fellow 200sx owner. His is a sil80, so has a different front end, and looks like this:

In two weeks time he's getting some fancy schmancy coilovers, so offered to sell me his shocks and lowering springs for a bargain price. I sold a headunit on ebay, and this morning it looks like this:

Yup, it's not a massive drop, but a silly low (awesome) car would mean I can't get to my new job in a weeks time. I'm happy with this for now :)

Rust next I promise!

looks perfect Chris not too low

mmmmm maybe paint the wheels, black could be nice :D

Cheers

Rust removal/treatment has begun!

Now, this door is bad. Prepare for a shock.

No, really:

Image

Here's what she looked like with no door, and most of the bolts from the wing removed:

Image

The 'new' door came from a red car, (much like the replacement tailgate) so of course, it's been spray matte black for now, but rest assured, it will be going white when its taken to the body shop! The light had started to fade by the time we had 'finished' so here are the best pictures I have for the moment:

Image

Image

Just three more bolts to whack on, the wheel arch lining to go back in, as well at the front spat to pop back on too.

Also, did some stickering the other day:

Image

And bolted in my harness that I've had for aaaages:

Image

Thats all for now folks!

Right, this thread is long overdue an update, and my my, there is some updating to be done!

So, since I lasted posted here, the S13 has had rather a lot of money spent on it. It is now nearly rust free, dump valve fitted, has new wheels, and I've lowered it at the front a little more.

However. You will have to wait until JAE to see the changes ;)

Sunday just gone (14/8) was a brilliant day for me. My 21st birthday treat to myself was attending a drift practice day at Teeside Autodrome. What a brilliant day it was! Tremendous fun, but bloody difficult! I was very nervous lining up for the first time, with a freshly painted car at my first drift day (well, first 'legal' one ;) ) But I was lucky, only marks it came away with is a scuff on the front right corner, where it met some loose tires on the side of the track. I've not tried to buff it off yet, so I can't yet say how bad it is. But hey, pleased that was the only bad off I had.

I've been thinking from day one of owning this car that it's going to be my pristine daily, so far its done very well. But since the practice day, and the fact that more and more comforts seem to be escaping from the car everyday (there's not a trace of carpet to be found in it now  ) and the fact that work will pretty much pay for me to do a trailer licence, it's got me thinking...

For now though, it shall remain my daily :)

To finish up the update, here's a picture from Teeside, the only one this forum will see before JAE.

Yup, they mostly do karting, but they try to host a drift day once a month too.

This was on the west track, the smaller one. Seems my viscous lsd like drifting at speeds up to about 40mph. Any faster than that and it doesn't want to know... But yes, I was pleased with the amount of angle I got once or twice!

Afternoon all.

Today, a few of us visited a rolling road in Sunderland. Unfortunately, no F's (although Phil (mobiius) did get on the dyno, but they couldn't get it working properly, and he had to shoot off..)

They got things working in the end though!

Ayrton will be along shortly with a video, but for now, heres some pitcharz!

wait till you get that annoying fan off. Will even sound nicer when you are at the nice higher RPMs instead of just hearing the fan lol

I realised the other day I haven't done much to the car lately :(

That'll soon change in the next month though, more info on that when it actually happens.

So to make myself (and the car) feel better, I thought I'd change the front end up a little:

Before: stickkkers (like 20 quids worth  )

Image

During: stockuuuu

Image

After: Sunstrip 8) Couldn't go without any stickers there, so a rockstar one went on:

Image

It's not quite as neat in real life, theres a small fold, and a few bubbles, but its been in the sun a little this morning, and most have gone, so I'm fairly happy.
