HPI Checks

I'm now in a position to offer HPI checks for a very reasonable £2.49. Gold members will be charged just £1.

You'll get emailed a certificate in PDF form with all the usual HPI check info like whether the cars have ever been written off, stolen or imported as well as if there is any outstanding finance on the car. It also tells you all the dates of the car's ownership being changed.

I've never used the text service but I feel the PDF certificate is likely to be laid out better and contain more information. It can be used to help sell a car you're selling by being able to show this to any potential buyer and instill some peace of mind. Also if you're thinking about buying a car and have any doubts whatsoever.

If anyone's interested give me a shout. All I need is the reg plate and an email address.

I'd be pretty interested in knowing what my has been up to before I got it, I know it was a cat C but at the time never really looked into it... my bad I know. For a quid, why not...

What do I need to do? payment etc I mean, shall I PM you?

What company is it with mate, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm guessing its with HPI TradeWeb and its via your new job? If so, very thorough check that they provide, and presented a lot clearer than most companies :thumbright:

@James, if it is the company i'm thinking, for a one off check it is around £15 yeah so very good value here

Just had my suspicions about my previous BA's mileage confirmed. Seriously considering throttling the little arsehole that sold me next time I'm in the London area. Little fud.

Not been able to look at it properly as I'm on my phone in a van somewhere in leamington or near it. What does a hpi check normally say about the mileage?

If you supply your mileage it will show up discrepancies.

The plate change on mine confuses me. It says it was changed to the R reg I have now in 99, but then says it was changed to some L reg in 2001? But I have the R reg plate now...?

Did the car come from Ireland Sloth? might have something to do with it if it did :dontknow:

It probably had a private plate on it sometime during it's life. .

I don't honestly know where the car originally came from now.

Also, if the car was first registered in 97, how come the plate was changed to R3... in 99? Oh confused!

My only warning on my HPI check was that it was Exported in 2007 and never re-imported, so I "re-imported" it when I bought it :lol:

Does sound like you have some missing info, definitely give them a call mate - imagine if you'd paid £15 or something for this check...you'd be wanting your money back about now :lol:

This is quite interesing

I've always had my suspicions regarding my reg because everytime I got into a Mazda dealer they can never find my car from a reg search on their database.

When I was in Wolverhampton Mazda last this problem came up again, so we did a chassis number search instead and found out the Meanie was origionally registered under a private plate from new, K15 LAW, but that was pretty much all they could tell me, we don't know when the reg she now carries was registered

If the car is registered from new on a private plate, Mazda will really struggle to find it on their system by using the re-registered age related plate assigned to it, as it won't be on their system. You need to use the original plate, as that's what will be on the system

Just an quick bit of free promotion for Simon on this one, it's brilliant, I must have handed Simon over a fair few pounds when I was looking for a new car and they are great HPI checks I would recommend it to anyone

I got the bj hpi`d through work when i bought it
Everything i buy i get a hpi check and keep it with the paperwork for the car
If someones offering a decent hpi through "we know who" at £2.49 or a quid for gold members then thats a bargain and a handy bit of paperwork to keep with the car
