1995 Mazda 323f v6 problem non starter

lol, what's the cost of getting the CPS replaced?? If that is the problem

I think the sensor is about £60-£70 on fordprobestore.co.uk. They're easily damaged so it's probably best to buy a new one rather than get a used one from a breaker.

Next day is one of the choices available.

I only have one in stock, should still have it on Monday though, I don't sell them every day.

It's a pretty easy part to fit too.

If it's not, it could be the distributor, which I shift loads of, so they are a weak point.

The Crank Sensor will usually set a fault code.

Read through the thread someone posted above mate - there's instructions on checking fault codes in there. If you search the forum for "fault codes", you should find some more detailed instructions too.

Rather than buy random parts until you fix the problem, it would do you good to read the whole thread of someone who had the EXACT same symptoms, so you know what they did to diagnose and solve the problem :thumbleft:

Brand new distributors with 3 YEAR warranty are £199. Dead easy to fit, 5 mins.

Yeah I did read through it but must of missed how to actually check the fault codes. I'll go back through and read the whole thread

Col, he had the same problem as me - I know it has a slight oil leak from a rocker cover gasket and has done for a few years. Sounds like it could of caused the problem. Hopefully we're getting somewhere

Sounds like a distributor related probkem if you don't have a spark, have you removed the dizzy cap and checked the arm and all the contacts inside ?

What would a white 1995 Mazda 323f v6 be worth as spares or repairs? Just in case after trying the distributor it won't start I'll have to get rid as I desperately need a car for work.

Really enjoyed driving it for a couple of days and would love another one

A white one you say? That means you have the second one to have popped up recently, white V6 = not very common at all.
