Welcome :thumbright:

The BA's are on cambelts and are prone for the areial's breaking. Rear arches can rust, drop links can knock and exhausts. But apart from that they are pretty solid.

Welcome :)

They are cam belt, but are non interference, so not a massive problem if they break ;)

So, you had a BG before, gotta love pop up lights 8)

Yep, they are fuel injected, but you need a working distributor and rotor arm to ignite the fuel you've injected in there ;)

If looked after mileage isn't too much of a problem, a 60k neglected engine could be a lot worse. Check for smoke from the exhaust when starting and for breathing excessively through the oil filler cap / breather pipe. Most engine wear occurrs when cold, so a lot of high mileage cars have done a lot of long journeys. The main thing is the Cambelt has been recently changed!

Also have a good think about the gearbox and CV joints. Any noises be prepared to replace these items.

If the mileage is High this should be reflected in the price. so you should get a bargain if the car is OK.

Good luck :-)
