sunday,i went into the back of someone at about 20mph on the m25,
tried to stop but skided,
the vauxhal i hit has a little bit of rear done but mine is wrecked..
at least everyone is fine accept for my poor BG!

in the end shes breaking now im taking everything off her ready for the scraper *sad face*
so if anything wants any bg parts cheap speak now!

ouch, main thing is everyone is ok, car can be repaired/replacement bought. I know how it feels, the crash I had in my first car which the other guy wrote off is still fresh in my mind like a slow motion movie...

Yup I was doing about 10mph when my BG bumped into another thing damage was similar.

The car looks bad, but having owned a BG I know theres nothing behind that fron panel, so it just buckles.
The integrity of the car is still good, the wings are still straight. Cars are designed to crumple like that, to absorb the impact rather than bulldoze through everything in front of them!

but 20 mph !!... i dont think they are designed to crumple that much at such a low speed.

sorry..but i dare imagine what it would look like if it were 50mph...

this really does suck..and i do feel for you... my pride and joy motorbike was written off at 20 mph...some C*%KSUCKER went into the back of me...so i do understand what its like.

even at 20 that is fine, the cabin is still straight and thats what matters!

the rest is supposed to crumple as said above to absorb the impact energy! if it didn't crumple then something else has to absorb that energy i.e YOU!

you'll do fine in your BA! just think of how a mx5 feels! size of a scalletrix car, paper thin doors with no impact protection, a windscreen for roll over protection and a seat belt! doesn't get much better!

is it ok not to have rear doorss?

Gutted for you Lew.

My car had:

- no front or rear bumpers
- no doors
- no bonnet
- no front wings
- no bootlid
- half an engine missing
- front passenger side shock and spring missing
- no interior
- no sunroof

They wanted to tow it away at first not knowing what condition it was in, so they bought the wrong type of truck thing. Came back later, but they still struggled to take but managed in the end.

Sorry to hear about your bump though. Happy breaking/scrapping

on a dolly, it needs to be MOTd...or have trade plates
