I've never been able to post in the "Ex-F owners" forum, but I can now...

Heres what I did last night

http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww16 ... own001.jpg

Can you see where the power pole hit the underside of my car

http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww16 ... own002.jpg

The scene

http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww16 ... own003.jpg

before all this

http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww16 ... own004.jpg

http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww16 ... own005.jpg

http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww16 ... own006.jpg

http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww16 ... own007.jpg

I would have posted pictures directly but it doesnt seem to be working

What happened was a guy pulled out infront of me- I swerved too hard and went in a drain, hit a drive way, rolled and collected a power pole on the way.... lucky for me i hit it with the bottom of the car- roof i would have been dead.

I walked away with only scratches

lucky to still be here

That looks like more than a 30 minute job.

Glad you are ok mate, i think anyone would have went into shock after that, fantastic that you walked away with just minor injuries.

Glad you made it out in 1 piece.
In the end it is only a car, wich is nothing compared you anyones life.
The muscle aches will stop, the cut will heal too. The car is a lost one.

Rather the car then you mate.

Holy shit that's some major damage there!

How fast did this all happen, in speed I mean?

Good that your ok! Another proof of excelent
mazda enginering.

And dont get me wrong here, but now that you
are still ok and no injuries... Thats some proper
writing off there! Atleast you killed it properly!

Everybody will go holy F how did you do that, and
survive! :) ;)

Must admit that pole damage could have been nasty
indeed.

Haha, yeah, this car was the one I was going to put a klze into... I was so close to buying the engine- I'm glad i didn't now, obviously I didn't really need the extra power....

This all happened out west auckland- on simpson rd (i Know most of you guys wont know it)- Its a pretty dangerous stretch of road- there have been alot of accidents there.
I never thought I would stuff it up like that.
I was probably going about 100km when somebody pulled out infront of me- I swerved hard to miss them, and yeah, the rest is history.
I'm a very lucky guy to be here- and I really think I've learned my lesson this time- speed kills... if I had hit that other car somebody would have died that night, just not worth it aye.

Dunno what I'm gonna do now, not sure if I should get another lantis or something else maybe. Lantis would be the smartest option because I have so many spares its rediculous, more now with the addition of my car- but all my friends gave me flack over driving a girls car when i had it- even girls said they had manlier cars that me- really bruised my ego lol.... oh well, we'll see what happens
