turbo a 1.5

is it much work to turbo a 1.5 and what would i need to do it
need abit of info because i relly want to do it

ahaha about 4grand
as it would have to be custom
everything would be custom how about you buy a 1.8, then swap a 1.8gtx/r into it
for bout a grand?
sooo much more worth it as urll only get like 30% added hp after the 1.5 turbo compared to the huge 1.8gtx outputs :P

ud be better to get a BPT block

U will need alot of parts and u would end up with roughly 150bhp...

turbo
wastegate
Intercooler,
intercooelr pipes
ECU
wiring loom
manifold
5th injector
bigger injectors
New breaks
possibly a new gearbox?
the list goes on....

1.5 and 1.8 BA's have different engine mounts.

Different mounts maybe but as far as I know the mounting points are exactly the same on all three BA engines - and the mounts are interchangeable i.e. holes are in the same place on all three variants.

. But still everyone seems to think dropping a BPT into a z5 is to much work, but from what you've just said i would need the mounts out of a 1.8 BA, BPT ECU, drive shafts and G-series box...Wiring loom, would i guess be hell tho.

its like the same amount of work as someone with a 1.8 BA putting a KLZE in

Brakes - EBC pads on standard discs :P. Exhaust, just need the middle section made up to connect to the headers from the BPT. 1.8 hubs isn't a big problem? Straight swap. Suspension, why would i need to dabble in that?

Aren't 1.5 discs even smaller than 1.8 ones? And 1.8 ones are hardly up to much. Might need a rear disc conversion to accompany it!

Or fit some 308mm VXR brakes & calipers, £395 inc fitting + anything else the guy needs to adapt em to the F.....

forgot you can buy colies for just BA instead of certain engine size like normal shocks / springs damped etc to match!

Dont worry about the suspension, everything is done.

So just get this straight,

Need 1.8 BA engine mounts, 1.8 BA front hubs and shafts, BPT GTX engine with ECU, & custom centre section for exhaust - in words seems simple lol.
