do you change your exhaust system alone?

if so, do you have your own lift in your garage to lift the car up, or what? ><

want to change the exhaust but dont want to spend more money on going to a garage to do it for me + i want to learn to do it myself

Axle stands are a decent compromise to a ramp.
I've done many exhausts on my cars, including building/welding my own stainless systems on axle stands, in my driveway. :thumbleft:

You can always do it with axle stands. It's just a pain in the a**e though especially if the nuts are rusted on, and try wearing googles or some form of eye protection.

yer it can be done but there aint a massive amount of room to work in. i just paid £15 and got my local garage to fit mine for me. easy as

Axle stands come in different sizes. Obviously you need a decent jack to get the car up to your desired height though.
Good height can be gained with ramps, but they might be a problem for lowered cars, and you need a bit of space to drive onto them.
I personally don't like using 4 axle stands, thats why you'll see in the pic above that the rear wheels are sitting on 2 spare wheels. A bit more stable in my opinion. As long as your on a flat surface, axle stands are perfectly safe. :wink:

dont have this problem and will never have

i plan to lower the car, but when i do, it will be with a system like what citroen had/have (some joystick in the car to control the height) :cheers:
