Right then as some of you know, Rebecca unfortunately wrote off the red 3 a few weeks ago which meant she needed a new car. We sorted out some monies and brought a newer one black 10 TS2 plate with 60k on the clock and mazda service history. It feels absolutely amazing to drive, so easy and effortless but fun at the same time. The best thing about it is the driving position compared to the old 3. They seem to have brought all the controls up inside and made it very very pleasant and comfortable to drive. It's a 1.6 turbo diesel again but it looks like they have tweaked the newer engine to give even better mpg. Sitting on the motorway at 70mph with the cruise control on, the trip computer is showing an average of 78mpg. Filled the car up the other day and its averaging 64mpg around town which is pretty good in stop,start traffic. When we filled it up the range computer calculated 795 miles to a full tank :O I know alot of people dont like the look of the gen 2 3's but i really really love the look of the front. I think it looks quite evil tbh, especially in black. Anyway here's a few pictures



I loved it so much i brought one myself I've been driving mine for about 2 weeks now and i've just clocked onto half a tank of fuel from full and its got me 345 miles. Bearing in mind that's all around town driving to and from work, that's not to bad at all! Plus the heated seats make my fanny warm and it feels nice mmmmm haha


don't think were gonna bother modifying these apart from maybe spraying the wheels on rebecca's black and white on mine.....apart from that i think ill leave it alone

Nice Iam looking to Get a 2.2D Sport when i get a newer car i like the 3's a lot

I was looking at the 2.2's but after speaking to a good friend who works at a mazda dealership i decided against it. He said that the 2.2 is nowhere near as good as the 1.6 as the turbo's go on them more and they get clogged up.....not quite sure what he meant but anyway thats why i brought a 1.6. If i could of afforded it I would have got the newer 1.6d ventura edition as it looks like a sport but a 1.6
