Due to hitting a bit of financial trouble, my father in law offered me his car and £200 for his Mondeo back, so with my sons birthday coming up and next to no income I reluctantly accepted :(

Hopefully it will only be for a few months as really ideally we need a 7 seater now, with 4 kids and now my daughter has been unofficially diagnosed with autism (she can't have an official diagnosis until she is 2 in February) we are pondering on a motibility car or to save up for a Zafira or something along those lines, I hate people carriers but I can't avoid one forever as at the moment we can't all go out together, I had a job interview last week and ive got my fingers crossed and praying I get the job

Anyway on to the car, Its a Pug 406 2.1 TD GLX 110 bhp, I hate the car, its noisy and battered and sounds like an egyption taxi, loads of turbo whoosh but runs out of puff quite quickly, far to light power steering that has made me make it oversteer quite a few times  On a plus note, its got a full service history including a recent full service, all new brakes and exhaust and its even got rain sensing wipers

does 50 mpg so isint all bad I suppose :?

The pics actually make it look better than it is
Think i'm just feeling a little pee'd off as I actually did like the Mondeo and my plan to buy a BA to tinker with is now on hold

Its ok mate :) I'm probably being harsh on the car as it does drive pretty good to be honest, coming from a Mk3 Mondeo that drove and went really well it felt like a big step down

Ive been burying my head in the sand for months about our financial situation ever since I left my job in 2008 with a nackered back, sods law that im better now and its a nightmare finding work that will pay enough to keep a family of 6 :( I was at the Inland Revenue at Waterview Park at Washington for neirly 11 years and had worked my way to a good salary, Ive wrote to them 3 times but had no response, then 2 weeks ago bailiffs at the door was a big wakeup call

And our daughter, we always knew she behaved different to the 'norm' but when she was 15 months and still no baby babble or words or even crawling properly we knew something was wrong, she can't hold eye contact and is generally distant, the wife and I are devastated as we tried for a little girl for 7 years, and its sods law but nevertheless we love her as she is :)
Its just appointment after appointment, physio, seeing specialists, and having to wear special shoes and a helmet as she has a nasty tendancy of headbutting until she hurts herself :(

A chap at work has one of these. Its fully loaded with heated leather etc. 50k miles. A bargain id say for the £400 he paid for it.
