yep
We're now the proud owners of a RX7 Mk1 series 3 FB 12A rotary engine, with a carb
Driving it is very much like a 1970s film - lots of steering wheel movement, no actual car movement - I think that's down to the steering box!!!
It does drive really nice though, and very different to anything else - and oh what a noise
I had it delivered, as we were at opposite ends of the country
It's parked on Garaths drive, as he has plenty of room, and has kindly offered to tackle the worst of the cars problems...the rust monkeys have been playing hard on this one
finger through here...
and here...
Owning an RX7 is like having a puppy...they leave little piles of mess for you to clear up
Still, it's a beautiful car, I have longed for one of these since I was a young lad, so all the hard work and effort will be worth it, and it'll all come good in the end
So, here he is - meet Vyv

proper cool! so now you can show me the porting the 12a to 150bhp you and garath are like wheeler dealers now, you buy it and bugger off and he fixes it! nice one!
i quite fancy the later rx7 from that one is it the fc? not the one everyone knows but the older one late 80's early 90's, wee turb0 one in black looks proper badass or red is no bad aswell. nearly went for a silver one couple years ago as was £900 but prolly better i didn't
get some nice retro wheels on it now! |

I only said I wanted one, needed one, and now we've got one.... I spent years and years and years convincing my parents I needed a dog, or a pony, and it got me nowhere
In just under a day I convinced Marc about having an RX7

Lovely cars, my dad brought one home in the late 70's, it was his bosses though.
Tel lyou what though, I thought it looked better on FB without all the rust shots!
Good luck mate, I'd love to have the time and space to take on something like this! |

Cheers Marc. She looks lovely. Looks as rusty as the FC that I almost bought, looks almost the same color. The wheels look mint though, like new! |

Cool! This sits bang in the middle of the Fd and Mx5. How much tax you paying on it by the way? Someone seems to be kicking up a stink on MRC http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/s ... hp?t=62442 |
