well two new tyres arrived today for the rear and it is booked in on thursday to go get them fitted plus fit a new inner cv boot and fit new tie rod ends so the wheel alignment can be done

thanks for that Simondo and yeah it does visit the pump quite often but I'm sure I have said this before on here, as I am only home half of a year I dont mind spending twice the amount on fuel as overall it works out the same over the full year and the smiles per gallon are super high.

Well new rear tyres are fitted along with the new inner cv boot and tie rod ends and wheel alignment. So the car is now 100% again

looking as stunning as ever, should be half decent weather tomorrow too so it will still look as it does now for a day or two

Get some paint on your door caps, they should be colour coded, no?

Personally I dont mind it too much as kind of go with the black from the wheels. Personally I need all the chrome dulling down first.

the top photo has had a HDR edit to it what ever that is. Think it is just a filter but not sure as a friend took the photo for me.

The beading is as it was taken on my phone. No photoshopping or editing or filters

Always been a big fan or cars like these, they look relatively standard to the non-expert eye but are fast as hell. Esspecially in wet/snowy stuff this car must be an absolute joy to drive! Would love to get one for going snowboarding in wintertime! mhhrhrrff*mumblessomethingaboutfunds*mmpphfff

I will make you a little more jealous then Sneakz as my car actually comes with a special bag fitted into the rear seats that you slide your skies into from the boot so that it doesnt wreck the interior lol.

Gorgeous car mate... been eyeing up a few local Audis to get as my commuter, but I think buying an S4 would defy the point of getting something a lot better on fuel than the R3. What are you getting MPG wise?

Long distances on motorway about 26-28mpg and around town between 12-24mpg depending

Ah... I'd only see a small benefit on the motorway. I never get more than 22mpg anywhere. Ever. :P

Wow I really thought the audi was very bad. To be honest I dont mind the round town mileage but I was hoping for a bit more on the motorway so that for me is its only downside

It's that sort of thinking that has created the likes of the Audi TT diesel. I mean, come on. I get it, I really do, and I'm old and I love an economical car for my commute...but for top down motoring, enjoying the country roads...you need a nice sounding burbling V8 or something, not an oil burner

Well yeah thats why I still got the audi as I dont do that much long distance driving in it and the smile per mile easily overwhelms the mpg

As I have not seen any other Nogaro blue S4 apart from mine, when I saw this one I had to take some photos of them together. Yes mine is very dirty and needs a wash

That is neat, I went on holiday this year with my Volvo V70 estate but I regretted not putting the roofbox on top. Every time the boot got wet and snowy even though I tried to brush of all the snow and ice of the skies and snowboard. This year I bought some brackets to put the skies and snowboard in on the roof so I can just put them in the back when I'm going there(better fuel economy and skies won't get extremely dirty from all the roaddirt) and I get put them on the roof when I'm driving to and from the slopes.

Did you also spot the owner of the other S4? Not sure which I like better though, I kinda like the estate version aswell. Both are very nice!

Yeah I was originally looking at getting the estate as they are slightly cheaper but then mine popped up for sale at a good price so I couldnt say no. Unfortunately the owner didnt show up and was still there at the end of the day but I will keep my eye open for it again

Well today was Kevin's day to be spoiled a bit

Firstly the expansion tank had a tiny leak and looked awful so it got a nice new expansion bottle

Next was time to change the spark plugs as was meant to do it a while ago but ran out of time and just haven't really had the time to do it since. I also had to stop a slight oil leak into number 1 spark plug chamber.
The spark plugs that were in the car were Bosch Super 4's... So glad to get those out and put some proper spark plugs in it

I then set about detailing the engine bay. I use Bilt Hamber HD which from personal experience is the best degreaser I have ever used and is completely water soluble. I then used 303 Aerospace Protectant on all the plastics.
