Super 4s really are horrible, :blackeye:

(I had them once the only time I ever took my car to a garage).

Engine bay has come out nice too, I keep hearing good things about bilt hamber stuff

Honestly it is really great stuff and I think the thing I like most is the fact its completely water soluble so doesnt leave a oily film on anything. I have tried loads of different degreasers amd definitely the best of the lot.

But yeah I dont understand people who think those super4's give you more power. You still only get a single spark and all its really good for is lasting a long time. There was definitely a noticeable improvement in acceleration going to the iridiums.

I took danielle into newcastle today and when she tells me that it feels like she is being pushed into the seat a lot more thats when you know there is definitely a big difference and thats just from spark plugs

Well monday I went down to my local garage and booked her in for an MOT. It was a new guy behind the reception desk and said I could bring it on the following day and it would be £45. So I booked it in.

Yesterday (tuesday) I dropped her off just before 12 and went and walked around town with danielle and had some lunch until I got the phone call it was ready. When I got there I was chatting to one of the mechanics I knew and he was saying how nice the car was and how much he liked it. He then passed me the PASS paper with not even a single advisory and then asked for £25.

So I think I am going to have to reward kevin now with some new car cleaning products.

So Kevin has ended up getting quite dirty with the every day use going too and from home and dry dock. It has also suffered from a layer of red two pac over spray from when the dry dock were spraying the ship as I apparently didn't park far enough away

Here are some befores

I then snow foamed it using Chemical Guys No Touch Snow Foam

I then used the pressure washer to take the snow foam and dirt off

I then washed the car by hand with my Dodo Juice Wookies Fist and Meguiars Gold Class shampoo

Then after it is washed I use this squeegy to get rid of most of the standing water and then dry it with my drying towels so that there are no water marks left on the paint work

Now at this point I can show you just how bad the over spray is on my car

So I have started attacking the paint work with an clay bar. I am half way through the clay barring process so that is pretty much where I am up to

Ouch, that looks like a nasty job mate! Shippaint is very tough most of the time.

Yeah it is quite tough but it is coming off with a more abrasive clay bar. But this means I need to polish all the panels again after I am finished removing it all. Then start topping up on the wax layers again

Finally finished clay barring the full car today. I will attack it with the polisher over the weekend and get some Dodo Juice Blue Velvet back on it..... Get the shine back and then I can start on the interior

You're a brave man, using the flexi blade...anything that gets onto your wet car will get dragged across the surface of the paint with that!

Hmmmmmm but surely it would still get dragged across the paint work with the big drying towels? Or does the dirt just go right up into the towel so it doesn't get dragged across the paint work

Nice fluffy towel gives the particles somewhere to go. Best way to dry is with fast hot air of course, but a nice waffle towel is the next best thing

Then had a little rain and hail so took the obligatory beading shots

Most of the rain did just sheet straight off

Well I took some extra pain killers this morning (on top of my nerve suppressants) and spent most of today cleaning the interior of the audi as it has not been done since my back issues started in April. I also treated all the carpets to some Carbon Collective Repel

And then decided to take a few pics of it looking nice

Basically Danielle and I have just bought a house so I decided I wanted something a bit better on fuel, insurance and tax. So I have bought a BMW e90 320d. Went this afternoon and p/x'd the audi for the BMW.

Once I have a garage built I am planning a new project which will be retro and japanese
