Is it the 2.5? If it is and you decide to break it let me know as I have one and need the radiator. I originally bought mine to strip but I couldn't bring myself to break it. Never had a car with a kick down like it.

If I do brake it then running gear will go into one of my spare BAs Then this will be turned into manual.
This is the UK spec 2.5. I think, now don't hold me to this, I think the v6 ba rad will fit. Could be worth a look into.

And how do you find the passive rear steer?

Rear steer isn't really strong enough if you ask me, sometimes it's like trying to turn the qe2 lol mine is the 2.5se. 4 speed auto lot more torque than the ba. Pulls like a train. Don't think the ba radiator will fit cos it's got gearbox oil cooler on the xedos, not sure that the ba has one or not. Wish it would cos I've got a ba that I'm breaking at the min.

If you buy a radiator for a BA automatic they have the oil cooler in the tank

the rear steer isn't as good as the preludes but this is a passive one. It does however have so much potential to be more.

Have you looked over on the yanks side for parts? These cars seem very popular over there.

Yes I get a lot of parts from over there where it's known as millennia but the import tax and shipping almost doubles the price. Gotta say I love the kick down at 40, if your ever on a motorway that pretty quiet drop down to 40 say warp factor 9 Mr warf and slam your foot down shouting engage, lol mine seems to hesitate for a second while it braces itself then suddenly it releases such a burst of power you can't believe it's the same car. I can't tell you at what speed it goes into 4th without admitting a licence loosing speeding offence (+100mph)

Let's just say after driving a mid 90s ovlov TD then jumping into the 9.... It took a while to get used to driving a auto petrol again *sniggers*
it's not as quick or as powerful as my vr4 (crap that's gonna be intresting when I start driving that beast again) but it's shocking how quickly it gets up to them sort of speeds!

Need to service mine and sort oil for gearbox out.
What oil do you use in your box?

truth is I've never had to touch the gearbox oil but I have the American Haynes manual (Clinton) for the v6 if you'd like me to check whats supposed to be in it

these are also the ones with the supercharged 2.3 miller cycle engines. always what they would do in a lighter car?

There's a 2.3 Xedos 9 on FleaBay atm, needs some 'repair work to car by competent D.I.Y mechanic', whatever that means.

Think I read somewhere that the super charger means the engine is too big to go in the BA. Pity really, though someone did shoehorn a Rover V8 in to an old Mini so anything is possible (guy was sat in the back seat though )

hi mate had look in book and it says dexron ii auto fluid, tho bare in mind the book is American so prob best to look up uk equivalent

ok cool, thanks. i know you can get that stuff here with ease. i was just a bit weary as it being dextron and not that iv been burnt before with that stuff, iv herd horror stories with people being told it was ok for their legnums and it churned up the box. so cant be to sure

Really hard to find parts for these, tho I would think the bloke from the ebay ad might have some info if he's in a xedos club. What damage is on the door? I can't see any in the pics. Or is that just good camera angles at work

and now i need a new front bumper too, some asshat scrapped the ns and its cracked just under the sidelight

i can get the door repiard for around £250 all in, so might go with that option to save the arseache of looking for parts, might as well get that bumper seen to at the same time.

most of them are in auckland (in avondale) or wellington and most are ford and mazda wreckers. try and avoid partsworld if you can as they usually the expensive ones. so there is a good chance of finding something. if they havent got anything, just wait a week or 2. be getting to witer soon lol

That was nice of them. There's a breakers up here www.japparts.com might have one. I've been going to go have a rummage around there for a while but haven't had time lately, I'm hoping to get there at the weekend but you could try them online or I can see if there's one when I go

Probably just vandalism and jealousy. Just a quick question tho that has bugged me about mine since I got her, are both wing mirrors the same size on yours? Mine has a larger one on drivers side. I've only ever seen this once on a merc that was used to tow a caravan so wasn't sure if he'd done it himself but mine has no tow bar
