Regarding the first one. I wouldn't be surprised if thats a dizzy cap fault. My engine did exactly the same thing, it wouldn't go over 3k revs for love nor money. I thought the worse and expected the cat to be knackered but it was actually a ten pound dizzy cap and rotor arm :thumbup:
