Hi all,
Not too sure if this is in the right area but here goes.
I have a 323 1.8 Executive which I have had from brand new since 1997. It has 217000 on the clock with a full service history.
Its still drives ok but needs some work on it to pass its next MOT which is due in November.
The things that I know about that need some attention are as follows:-
1. It pumps out a lot of smoke on the first start of the day. I have been told that it is not the seals as I have had it pressure tested so it is possibly the valves.
2. The air con does not work.
3. Alloy wheels will need to be replaced as they are corroded. Not too sure if they can be refurbished.
4. Rust around the wheel arches.
5. Air intake pipe will need replacing.
I think it is destined to broken up for spares but I am unable to do this myself so was wondering if anybody would know what the best course of action would be or if anybody would be interested in buying it.
I am from near Portsmouth.

Try ebay - if it's got some tax at least it can be driven away :) But if those are the only problems with it...

1. It's common on high mileage mazdas, don't worry about it
2. It's common on mazdas, don't worry about it
3. Alloy wheels (or even steely wheels) are cheap as chips
4. It's common on mazdas, don't worry about it
5. It's common on mazdas, wrap the pipe in PVC tape and don't worry about it

Cheers Hughie, guess I wont worry about it!! Lol.
Think I have missed the Ebay window now as I need it gone by Wednesday as that's when my insurance runs out and I have no where to keep it as my new car is on the driveway now.
Will bite the bullet and take it down the scrap yard. Have become attached to it after 16 years and would of liked it have had a better ending then just the scrapyard but hey ho life goes on!!
