Hello,

My name is Medina, and I have a 1.8L '95 Mazda 323 Hatchback (Also known as Protege, apparently).

Finding parts for this car has proven difficult as in some shops doing a VIN check has told them it is a 1.6L when it is actually a 1.8L. Then the name of the car often does not come up as 323 but rather Protege and it says a 1.8L never existed... (It exists, I have it. Haha) (It can take hours and dozens of calls to find the proper parts for this car)

Honestly, love this little car though. I hope it lasts a while. I got it just in January of this year, so I've had it nearly 7 months so far, hopefully many more months to come.

Thanks for having me! :D

My uncle lives in Canada and he told me the same thing about the models name being Protege.
The car is looking nice.Keep it in good shape and it will serve you well.

Hi, congrats on your purchase! May it give you many happy trouble free miles of enjoyable motoring!

In Australia the vehicle wasn't sold by Mazda, but Ford as the "Ford Laser Lynx" with round headlamps. Uncommon when new, they're rare as hens' teeth now.

The Ford Laser was a long-standing Australian twin (not necessarily identical or badge-engineered though) of the Mazda 323.

Hi and welcome to the club, she looks really tidy, and also a bit of a mix between 323F BA and a 323C.

Hi Medina...

Welcome to the Club, it is indeed a rare little car! And yes acquiring parts for these older models is somewhat of a challenge! Thank goodness for Ebay! lol!

There are many different variants and models, from different countries. I watched a vid on you tube recently on all the models and even I was confused after 10 mins! haha So many different names etc...

Anyway may she bring you many happy years of motoring yet! :D :)
