Greetings folks,
my name's Jim and I've been a 323 BJ owner for a little over 2 years now. It's been an impressive little car, clocking up some miles and taking some abuse. My family have had a number of BFs in the past also, which were just nails! I'm a big fan of cheap, ugly, reliable cars, so for me 323s are great! Seriously underrated wagon in my opinion

Mine is a standard 323 1.5 GSE, nothing spectacular. The name "BAP" came from a joke a mate made - my plate ended in BAP and his '97 Volvo V70 in TTS - so it was Titties and Baps

I dragged it all over the UK for about 2 years, plodding it down dirt tracks and even did a tour of the Somme in it. Pulled handbrake turns and attempted to drift it...just couldn't kill it! I'm somewhat of an outdoorsman, so my cars don't have easy lives. I loved it so much that I had a fair whack of work done on it and dragged it across Europe, all the way to Poland!

(I'm originally from Kent by the way. The economic situation in the UK wasn't working in my favour, so I upped sticks).
Annoyingly, I made some misinterpretations on how much it would be and to what lengths I'd have to go to in order to register the BAP and make it road legal here. Thus it's currently sitting SORN and uninsured up the road from my gaff, but I won't allow it to go to waste and I've got other plans for it! But that's another story, for another part of the forum...
I don't know a lot about cars in general, but I'm eager to learn. My friend also introduced me to banger racing this year, which I'm in love with and am eagerly awaiting the next season of chaos!
Here's me, the 'missus' and the BAP on an old Soviet runway...

See you all around,
Jim.
