I'm a 323f owner again. Got myself a Silver BJ 1.6GSi recently I'm very pleased with it. I used to have a Red BA 1.5GXi a few years back which I loved (only got rid of it when paint was turning pink and engine started making expensive noises :D ).

I've popped in and out of this forum many times before but I think now it's time for me to de-lurk and say hi to you all.

Here's my current 323f (Edit: in following post), had the rear arches resprayed (common problem eh?) and had the cambelt and main 54k service done, she's running sweet.

Not too bothered about modding although that may change the longer I stay around here :D , more interested in maintenance tbh but I might look around for some nicer wheels in the future, although the factory alloys currently on it look ok to me (tyres are missmatched though :? )

Nice, I like em in silver, and yes, rusty arches are a common problem on these it seems :(

Thanks guys, it's a nice little community you have going on here from what I've seen. Pleased to now be a part of it.

I'll dig out a pic of my old BA when I remember, it was factory standard with 5 spoke alloys and a lovely black cloth interior. The only thing I changed was replacing the airfilter with a K&N one :)

I love the shape of that car so much, don't get me wrong I like the looks of my current BJ (new wheels would beef it up a little) and having the extras like ABS, TCS, AC, a decent head unit and a slightly bigger engine give it the edge over my old one. Boot space is very handy too, especially as I have a nipper now.

I must say that now I've had a good old read of the forum I'm now thinking more about induction kits and stainless steel exhausts. Boys and their toys eh? ;)

Some great looking cars on here. I wish I was a little more mechanically minded to feel confident enough to tinker.

Heh, well I got the garage to sort out the rear arches and they've said they'll also respray the blemishes on the rear bumper (chip marks that some goon used a touch up pen on, badly) and the roof has a rust scab. Just waiting for them to book me in. Long story, but they're carrying out this extra work for me because of the way the sales team treated me.

Inside is nice too, just the drivers seat has a patch of the 'netting' worn away low down on the back rest. Can't see that though when I'm driving

I never knew there was a facelift with the BJs until now. When did they change and is it only the front end that looks different?

Yours is the facelift, which have the later rear lights too (with the circles for indicators, reverse etc) the very last sports had black headlights, you have the "crystal" ones...

Other than the rear lights, the other changes were on the interior - I believe the pre facelift had air con, whereas the later cars have proper climate control - and the centre console is different, panel/switches, cupholders...

Mine only has the aircon rather than climate control. Everything else you describe is there though. I quite like the circular rear lights. I think black lights on the front would look nicer on mine. Anyone got any spares? :)
