Hi,

Gosh, i haven't logged in since 2014. :D
I'm storing the Mazda f ba zxi over the winter now and I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on how to avoid a dry start. How to build the oil pressure before start up?

Many Thanks
Glen

After checking all the levels and charging the battery (!) you need to get the engine spinning over with no fuel going in or sparks.
Removing the spark plugs is the best way for the second bit. It also puts less strain on the systems with no compressions.
But don't do this without also doing the "no fuel" bit or you'll be calling the fire service to put it out ....
De-pressurise the fuel system and stop power to to the pump.
Some V6 owners might be able to help you with the details for that (mine wasn't a V6).

Welcome back, Glen :)

There's now a V6 Whatsapp group, PM me if that's of interest to you, and I'll send an invite link.
