I have one problem with my lights.
So.
When you want to turn on the lights on the handle end of the steering wheel, light does not go up. But on the button will.
Please help me. I try on internet but no luck for me.
I want winking with lights!

Does any one know and can help me?

I'm thinking that with the damage to the front of the car
ONE or 2 wires may be damaged in the wiring there ?

I checked several times.
If they were not, there would be light lifts at all.

Reverse light not work at all , stop light work but very akward. When I press brake , with stop light work left fog...

My car is in big mess.

What to do:

1) Stop crying

Firstly do you know whether your car is "switch to ground", i.e. instead of the switch supplying +12V to the bulb, +12V is always there and the switch simply completes the connection to ground? A lot of cars are this way. This will help with diagnosis, if it is switch-to-ground then anyone previous who has not known this will have had a lot of problems getting things to work, and when they have it will not be for the right reasons.

2) Get yourself a multimeter and prepare to do some simple testing. Often it's a grounding issue.

3) Is the left fog lamp dim when the brake light is on? Pull the left fog light bulb and see if the brake light still goes on.
a) If it doesn't, then the brake light is being grounded through the fog lamp which is in series with the brake lamp (llok up series and parallel circuits if you don't know). This needs to be corrected. You may find when the fog lamps are turned on the brake lights either don't work or are on all the time or turn the fog lamps on and off too!
b) If it does then it means the fog lamp is likely wired in parallel and someone's messed up. In the meantime you should then check it really is the brake light filament (21W) and not the parking/tail light filament (5W) if you have a combined bulb.

4) Measure the voltage with the multimeter across the illuminated globe. You may need to get at the terminals for this.
a) If it's 12V (or so- whatever your battery voltage is or close) then that's good. Bulbs are in parallel (as they should be...when wired correctly!)
b) If it's 6V or less than the battery voltage, bulbs are in series.

5) The good news is if the car is running then at least the engine side is OK. The bulb problems should be a simple matter of crossed wiring, incorrect wiring, bad earthing or someone's connected terminals incorrectly.

How I passed the MOT?
I think this is thought to be that way.
Not checking the fog so that is probably linked to it must be so.


This morning my dad was going from work, with my car, and turned the lights, without buttons and raised up.
So somewhere loses connection to the handle on the left side of the steering wheel.

How did it get past its MOT???

With the rear lights I have. But with pop up motors not. No time for disassembly.

New thing
Rising motors are sometimes alone raise on handle next to the steering wheel.
That's how stay a few minutes (up to 5 min) or 3-4km of driving and again go down.

Sounds again like a bad earth on the relay or a relay problem :/
