Central locking alarms can be bought from £15 - £250. I wouldn't spend more than £100. |

Take all the motors out the doors and lube them up. They'll just be a bit stiff. Do they all make a noise, as if they're trying to lock? |

check ebay out for central locking universal remote kits it usually comes with 4 locking pods but u actually only need one iv u connect the master (the one with more wires) to the drivers side original unit then it will lock them all together plus they come with two fobs i think i paid around £25 ish for them |

Did you get the car from a private or trade seller? You could always contact them and see if they have the fob lying around? |

I honestly couldn't tell you mate, look around for a small red light, when I activate my alarm with the central locking button, there's a red light that comes on. |

Remove the drivers door card. If theres a central locking motor in there, then its likely that it had remote locking at some point. The BG came from the factory with no motor in the drivers door.
no the bgs never came with remote cl just key activated cl its easy to install an aftermarket one mate
Bg's didn't come from the factory with it, but it was a dealer option, as was the alarm and immobiliser. Mine had both from new, and I had the handbook and receipt for it.

Digging this one up from the grave, My passenger side front door has started not locking today. Pulls the tab down about halfway, but doesn't quite make it the full distance, Pushes it back up fine. Suggest a good lubing?

exactly the same problem i have my passenger side front door, it locks but doesnt seem to have enough power to pop it up to unlock it. i took the door cover off to drench it with wd40, it worked for about 2 days then started playing up again. i wonder if you can get these new? kev |

well as you saw at the end of the South East Meet my door has started locking fine but now, like Kev's. not having enough oomph to unlock the passengers side door. WD40 in the lock mech and door handles solved it for the moment. will see how long it lasts :P |

I love the way that both us bg owners always keeps a bottle of wd40 in the boot!! The old gals are partial to a bit of wd40'ing |
