Well, not content with my new toy, I'm picking up another one tomorrow. Too good to miss. A nice Black 1998 Audi A3 1.8 Turbo. Full Leather, 6 Months MOT. Just needs a new clutch and Headlamp. Not losing the MX6 though. This is just a bargain I had to get. Pics to follow soon I hope.

Is that an expensive clutch on the A3?

According to Euro Car Parts,complete kits are between £87 and £130. Might just be hydraulic if I'm very lucky.

wouldnt surprise me if you get won over by the audi as those engines are amazing. Sure it will be one of the lower hp 1.8t's but when you start getting info on them and see just how easy they are to mod I bet you get hooked.

Yes, everything else is good on the car. Belongs to a guy in work. He bought a Merc Kompressor and he just wants shot of the Audi.

Oh well. Too good to be true. Just rang him to say I was on my way and he says he is keeping it. His son topped up the fluid last night and the clutch now works. Seems it is the slave cylinder leaking so he gonna fix it. 10 min away from the bargain of the year. Stupid AA man told them the clutch was gone and towed it back to their house. Gutted

Well he got it fixed so at least he's happy
