When I was running the probe I toyed with the idea of turbo charging

Now tye kit I looked at has dropped in price to round about £400
Can find the same kits on ebay all would need is a front mount but puck up a cheape one

Doen't include an ECU to get things running properly, this will cost you atleast twice that. Also not sure about the quality of the stainless steel manifold as proper stainless steel manifold alone will cost you about 300, let alone the turbo. Also doesn't include intercooler and piping, which are a b*tch to fit properly.

I have a decent front mount from a previous project. And ecu wouldn't be too bad know a guy who can program and dyno for a good price. My fear is the same as yours tho the manifolds but everything iv had in the past for the probe was good quality.

On the other hand I buy the v6 for show and a vrs for go

the standard ECU cannot be mapped so you will need to buy a piggy back or stand alone ECU

Ideas thinking that my mate can build his own ecus so was thinking about trying it as I can get a cheap probe that after the mot is up probably would be more use as a parts car and the 2.5 is tempting to drop in a 323 especially if it's holding up.

Can the probe engine handle boost ok or would I be looking at different pistons etc

It should be able to handle some boost on stock internals. However I'm not sure how reliable this is going to be. As I said Barreljan is running boost on a klze with stock internals. Not sure if he has had any problems with it so far.

I'll pm him see what he says. Doing the work myself isn't an issue. Just want sure how well it would last. Did look at sc but if that kit with a t3 turbo can do what it says I don't see why 250 isn't achievable on stock internals. And if and when I go down this route I'll post up abuild thread so everyone can have a look and hopefully help out with tips.
