Hello guys...am new. I was looking for my car for more than 1 year. Now that I've got one in perfect condition and by the time in Greece only 1.5 engine came what do you advice me to do. I've heard that nothing compares to V6 on driving experience and by the time i found all the parts needed in good value what shall I do. edited - changed to lower case |

welcome to the club fella, if you mean change your 1.5 to a v6 then you are going to have a lot of work ahead of you if you really want to keep the car you have (rather than finding a 1.8 or V6) then i think your best option would be to either look into turboing the 1.5 (still not 100% who's done this) or, look into upgrading to the 1.8 BP or BPT (turbo version) if money allows it would still be costly to do these changes, but if it's what you want then good luck to all the best Matt |

AS I TOLD I WAS ABLE TO FIND ONLY THE V6 AND THE RELATED PARTS IN VERY GOOD PRICE. MY ISSUE IS NOT THE MONEY. THE PERFORMANCE IS. |

V6's are overated in my opinion, stick with your 1.5 mate, set up the suspension properly and then supercharge it, forget turboing the 1.5, its just too difficult, there have been some that have been turboed, but with huge difficulty as far as I know

hows supercharging going to be any easier?
the sound though andy the sound, you could strap 10 turbos to a 4 cylinder and it'll still never quite cut it next to a v6 |

And, you don't need an expensive new manifold :P |

you'd need, the A/C compressor plate for a 1.5 the a/c compressor pulley would be handy too put the s/c on the compressor plate, with a pulley the size of the a/c pulley - you could then use the "with a/c belts" for the 1.5 to drive it a bit of replumbing of the inlet manifold and you'd be away

fueling? ecu? and what side is the aircon pulley, etc ain't it the p/s altenator side so wheres the charger gonna fit? on the bonnet?
ahhh speed ain't everything, i used to think it was, but id happily trade some for that V6 sound, it is so addictive and yummy! soo, what other research you been doing on these chargers andy? |

FIRSTLY THANKS A LOT. SECONDARY MY 323 HAS AN ENGINE 100% FACTORY AT THIS TIME. I HAVE ONLY CHANGED THE SUSPESSION AND THE WHEELS FROM 14 TO 16. I AM DETERMENED TO TURN INTO THE CAR...THE ONLY THING IS THAT I WANT EVERYTHING TO HAVE MAZDA SIGNATURE.THATS WHY I WANT THE V6 ENGINE. THE OTHER THING IS THAT I CAN TAKE OUT RX7 TURBINE AND STICK IT TO MY ENGINE. AND ITS DOABLE I.VE SEEN IT. THE ENG.SOUND OR THE SPEED ARE NOT CONCIDERING ME AT ALL. I JUST WANT PERFECT DRIVING EXPERIENCE. MONEY ON THE OTHER HAND ARE NOT A PROBLEM TO ME RIGHT NOW SO I HEAR YOUR OPINIONS |

You could turbo it aswell if money is no option 280BHP+

the whine of a supercharger tho.. and a straight cut or a sequencial box cant be beaten. i would go for a supercharger if i had the money, i have been doing the maths for a turbo to my engine for a while but need a flow meter as info on these kind of mods when you want to build your own system are hard to come by. not to mention extremely involved. you would be better buying a bolt on kit. when you get used to the pull of a turbo spooling or a supercharger thumping the air into the cylinders and you go back to n/a it feels like there is something missing, it doesnt work the other way around, so you tell me which is the better driving experience..
